Move Over – Janis Joplin / 1971

Move Over는 제니스 조플린(Janis Joplin)이 1971년 발표한 <Pearl>에 수록된 첫 번째 트랙이다. 제니스가 만들었고 폴 로스차일드(Paul A. Rothchild)가 프로듀서를 맡았다. Trust Me, Me And Bobby McGee와 같은 날 녹음한 걸로 알려져 있다.

 

가사는 확실하게 마음을 표현하지 않고, 심지어 떠난다고 말해놓고, 그 이후엔 떠나지도 않고 화자를 애타게 하며 놀리는 것 같은 상대방에게 구애하는 곡이다. 이런 상황 일 때는 차라리 저주를 퍼붓고 떠나주면 좋으련만, 그렇지 않기 때문에 희망고문이란 말이 생긴 것 같다.
