Love And War - Neil Young / 2010

Love And War는 캐나다의 록 뮤지션 닐 영(Neil Young)이 2010년 발표한 32번째 스튜디오 앨범 <Le Noise>에 수록한 곡으로 닐이 만들고 다니엘 라노이스(Daniel Lanois)가 프로듀서를 맡았다.

 

당시 아프가니스탄과 이라크에 파병된 병사들을 생각하며 만든 곡이다. 닐은 AP와의 인터뷰에서 "When I sing about love and war/I don't really know what I'm saying"이 무엇을 의미하는 것이냐고 묻자 “아주 무거운 주제예요. 아무도 대답할 수 없는 거죠. 아무도 모를 거예요. 인간의 조건은 인간이 살아 있는 한 계속해서 전쟁과 관련될 것 같아요. 그래서 전쟁에 관한 제 의견은 있지만 그 의견이 옳은지는 모르겠다는 말이예요”라고 말했다.
