It Would Be So Nice - 핑크 플로이드 Pink Floyd / 1968

 

It Would Be So Nice는 UK 록밴드 핑크 플로이드(Pink Floyd)가 1968년 발표한 곡으로 UK 52위를 기록했다.

 

키보드 연주자 리처드 롸잇(Richard Wright, 19430728 ~ 20080915)이 만들고 노먼 스미스(Norman Smith)가 프로듀서를 맡았다. 멤버들은 록밴드의 곡같지 않다고 별로 마음에 들어하지 않았던 것 같다. 

 

가사는 꿈을 외면하고 반복적으로 똑같은 삶을 사는 사람들에게 어떤 일을 했는지, 어떤 일이 일어날지 모르는 우연의 즐거움도 있다는 걸 말하는 것 같다. 원래 가사는 실제 신문인 "Everning Standard"였으나 실명을 언급해 금지곡이 되면서 가상의 신문인 "Daily Standard"로 바꾸었다.
