Evil Ways - Santana / 1969

Evil Ways는 산타나(Santana)가 1969년 발표한 셀프타이틀 데뷔 앨범에 수록한 곡으로 US 9위, 연말결산 69위 등을 기록했다.

 

클레어런스 헨리(Clarence "Sonny" Henry)가 만들고 산타나와 브렌트 댕거필드(Brent Dangerfield)가 프로듀서를 맡았다. 그렉 롤리(Gregg Rolie)가 보컬을 맡고 해먼드 오르간을 연주했다. 클로버스(The Clovers)의 Love Potion No.9이랑 비슷한 느낌을 준다.

 

가사는 화자를 바보, 광대, 무존재로 만드는 상대의 태도와 생활방식에 대해 바꾸지 않으면 떠나겠다는 경고를 날리는 내용을 담고 있다.
