All For You – Janet Jackson / 2001

All For You는 자넷 잭슨(Janet Jackson)이 2001년 발표한 7번째 스튜디오 앨범의 타이틀곡으로 미국, 영국, 캐나다에서 1위, 아일랜드 15위, 미국 2000년대 결산 65위 등을 기록했다. 그래미 베스트 댄스 레코딩을 수상했다.

 

곡은 자넷과 제임스 해리스(James Harris III, Jimmy Jam), 테리 루이스(Terry Lewis)가 만들었고 루더 밴드로스(Luther Vandros)가 있던 훵크 그룹 체인지(Change)의 The Glow Of Love를 토대로 만들어서 데이빗 로마니( David Romani), 웨인 가필드(Wayne Garfield), 마우로 말라바시(Mauro Malavasi)에게도 저작권이 돌아갔다. 자넷과 제임스, 테리가 프로듀서를 맡았다. 제임스와 테리가 The Glow Of Love를 제안했을 때 자넷은 처음 들어본 음악이었지만 맘에 들어 했다. 이듬해 제임스와 테리가 프로듀서로 참여한 브릿트니 스피어스(Britney Spears)의 Anticipating과 흡사하다는 지적이 있었다.

 

뮤직비디오는 데이브 마이어스(Dave Meyers)가 감독을 맡았고 MTV VMA에서 올해의 뮤직비디오 등 4개 부문 후보에 올랐다.
