June Afternoon - Roxette / 1995

 

June Afternoon는 록시트(Roxette)가 1996년 발표한 곡 히트곡 모음집 <Don't Bore Us, Get To The Chorus!>에 수록한 신곡으로 스웨덴 24위, 영국 52위 등 유럽에서 중위권 정도의 인기를 얻었다.

 

곡은 페르 게슬(Per Gessle)이 만들었고 보컬도 페르가 리드했고 마리에 프레드릭슨(Marie Fredriksson)은 백업 정도의 역할만 하고 있다. 원래는 페르의 솔로 앨범에 수록하려 했으나 계획을 변경해 여름을 겨냥한 싱글로 내놓게 되었다.

 

데자뷰(déjà Vu)는기시감(旣視感)으로 번역되는 프랑스말로 프랑스 철학자 에밀 부아라크(Emile Boirac)가 처음 사용한 말이다. 처음 보는 대상이나, 처음 겪는 일을 마치 이전에 경험한 느낌을 가리킨다. 곡에서는 어떤 측면에서 데자뷰를 느꼈는데 그로인해 자신이 행복하다고 생각하는 일상의 모습들을 모두 다 투영한 것으로 보인다.
