Tangled - Jane Wiedlin / 1990

Tangled는 US 밴드 고고스(The Go-Go's) 출신의 싱어송라이터 제인 위들린(Jane Wiedlin)이 1990년 발표한 3번째 스튜디오 앨범의 타이틀곡으로  게리 마샬(Garry Marshall) 감독의 영화 <프리티우먼(Pretty Woman)> OST에 수록되어 큰 인기를 누렸다. 

 

제인과 비욘세(Beyonce)의 Listen 작곡가로 유명한 스캇 커틀러(Scott Michael Cutler)가 함께 만들고 피터 콜린스(Peter Collins)가 프로듀서를 맡았다. 

 

가사는 미치도록 사랑하던 연인이 어떤 일이나 사건을 계기로 뒤틀어진 상황을 못 견뎌 하는 내용인 것같다. 수사적으로는 제목을 통해 사랑으로 엉켜있는  물리적인 몸의 행복한 상태와 오해와 미움으로 엉켜 있는 심리적인 마음의 혼란한 상태를 표현하고 있다.
