The Wedding Cake은 US 뮤지션 코니 프란시스(Connie Francis, Concetta Rosa Maria Franconero)가 1968년 발표한 스튜디오 앨범의 타이틀곡으로 US 91위, AC 19위, 컨트리 33위 등을 기록했다. 국내에서 트윈폴리오가 웨딩케잌이란 제목으로 번안해 폭발적인 인기를 누렸다.

 

마가렛 루이스(Margaret Lewis)와 미라 스미스(Mira Smith)가 만들고 쉘비 싱글턴 주니어(Shelby S Singleton Jr.)가 프로듀서를 맡았다. 

 

가사는 트윈폴리오 버전이 주는 "이 밤이 지나면 나는 가네, 원치 않는 사람에게로"의 정략결혼이 주는 느낌과는 완전히 다르게, 오랜 세월을 조망할 수 있는 시야를 가지고 가정을 꾸린 화자가 의무감으로 가득 찬 남편에게 함께 보내고 이겨낸 세월을 이야기하며 위로와 격려의 편지를 건네는 느낌을 준다. "icing"은 케이크 위에 장식하는 걸 말한다.
