Make Me Feel - Janelle Monáe / 2018

Make Me Feel은 자넬 모네(Janelle Monáe)가 2018년 발표한 3번째 스튜디오 앨범 <Dirty Computer>에 수록한 곡으로 영국 74위, 캐나다 98위, 미국 99위 등을 기록했다. 외국 매체에서는 프린스(Prince)의 Kiss, 마이클 잭슨(Michael Jackson)의 The Way You Make Me Feel 등을 레퍼런스 곡으로 꼽고 있으나 개인적으로는 외국 작곡가들이 만든 태티서의 Twinkle도 그 중 한 곡이 아닐까 싶은 생각이 든다.

 

자넬과 줄리아 마이클스(Julia Michaels), 마티아스 라손(Mattias Larsson), 로빈 프레드릭손( Robin Fredriksson), 저스틴 트랜터(Justin Tranter) 등이 만들었고 마타이스와 로빈(Mattman & Robin)이 프로듀서를 맡았다. 뮤직비디오는 앨런 퍼거슨(Alan Ferguson)이 감독을 맡았고 어떤 성적 취향을 가진 상대하고도 관계가 가능한 인물을 표현하고 있다. 가사도 흔히 말하는 양성애자를 표현한 것으로 보면 될 것 같다.
