Too Busy Thinking About My Baby는 마빈 게이(Marvin Gaye, 19390402 ~ 19840401)가 1969년 발표한 9번째 스튜디오 앨범 <M.P.G.>에 수록한 곡으로 US 4위, R&B 6주 1위, 연말결산 14위, UK 5위, 캐나다 23위 등을 기록했다.

 

템프테이션즈(The Temptations)가 1966년 제일 먼저 발표한 곡으로 노먼 휫필드(Norman Whitfield), 베렛 스트롱(Barrett Strong), 재니 브래드포드(Janie Bradford)가 만들고 노먼이 프로듀서를 맡았다. 백업 보컬은 안단테스(The Andantes)가 참여했다.

 

가사는 자신의 연인에 대한 생각만 하느라 다른 생각을 할 시간이 없다고 말하는 내용이다. 사랑에 깊이 빠져본 분들이라면 누구나 한 번씩은 경험하는 일일 거라 생각한다.
