My Destiny - Lionel Richie / 1992

My Destiny는 US 싱어송라이터 라이오넬 리치(Lionel Richie)가 1992년 발표한 컴필레이션 앨범 <Back To Front>에 수록한 곡으로 UK 7위, 연말결산 32위, 아일랜드 10위, US AC 7위 등을 기록했다.  

 

라이오넬이 만들고 라이오넬과 스튜어트 르바인(Stewart Levine)이 공동 프로듀서를 맡았다. 뮤직비디오는 메리 램버트(Mary Lambert)가 감독을 맡았다. 

 

가사는 영원한 사랑을 노래하는 내용으로 고백하는 사람이 부르거나 들려주는 좋을 곡인 것 같다. 라이오넬의 경력으로 봐서 세련된 멜로디에 비해 가사가 너무 클리셰 덩어리인 게 아쉽다.
