Come To My Bedside My Darlin’ - Brothers Four / 1964

Come To My Bedside My Darlin'은 US 포크밴드 브라더스 포(Brothers Four)가 1964년 발표한 <More Big Folk Hits>에 수록한 곡이다. 국내에서 김세환과 윤형주가 내 곁으로 오세요로 번안해 불렀다.

 

에릭 앤더센(Eric Andersen)이 만들고 테오 마체로(Teo Macero)가 제작, 밀트 오쿤(Milt Okun)이 프로듀서를 맡았다. 에릭은 롤링스톤과의 인터뷰에서 "당시엔 너무 성적인 내용의 가사 때문에 문제가 되었어요. 금지곡이 되어서 브라더스 포는 싱글로 만들었다가 전량 폐기했죠. 이후에는 제 곡을 쓰는 것을 꺼려하는 눈치가 많았어요. 어느날 크리스 크리스포퍼슨(Kris Kristofferson)이 바에서 절 보고 이 노래가 너무 좋다며 칭찬했어요. 자기 노래에 얽힌 얘기들도 들려주고요. 그런 후에  자니 캐쉬(Johnny Cash) 쇼에 소개해서 절 넣어주었습니다"라고 말했다. 

 

가사는 연인의 몸을 손으로 더듬거나 쓰다듬으면서 느끼는 사랑의 감정을 문학적으로 표현한 것 같다.
