Everything Changes - Staind / 2005

Everything Changes는 스테인드(Staind)가 2005년 발표한 5번째 스튜디오 앨범 <Chapter V>에 수록한 곡으로 미국 어덜트 33위를 기록했다.

 

보컬의 애런 루이스(Aaron Lewis)를 비롯한 멤버들이 함께 만들고 데이빗 보트릴(David Bottrill)이 프로듀서를 맡았다.

 

뮤직비디오는 마이크 슬롯(Mike Sloat)이 감독을 맡았다. 마이크는“리처드 링클레이터(Richard Linklater) 감독의 1993년 영화 <라스트 스쿨데이(Dazed And Confused)>, 그리고 카메론 크로우(Cameorn Crowe) 감독의 2000년 영화 <올모스트 페이머스(Almost Famous)>를 참고 했어요”라고 말했고 기타리스트 마이크 머쇽(Mike Mushok)은 “MV의 내용은 고등학교를 졸업한 뒤에 찾아오는 변화에 대한 것”이라고 말했다.

 

가사는 상대가 떠난다고 어떤 문제가 해결되는 것이 아니니 과거의 모습으로 돌아가서 변화하고 새롭게 출발하자는 내용인 것 같다. 서로가 미련이 아직 남아 있어야 가능한 설득방법인 것 같다.
