Peaceful - Helen Reddy / 1972

Peaceful은 헬렌 레디(Helen Reddy, 19411025 ~ 20200929)가 1972년 발표한 3번째 스튜디오 앨범 <I Am Woman>에 수록한 곡으로 US 12위, 연말결산 81위, 캐나다 12위 등을 기록했다.

 

1967년 케니 랜킨(Kenny Rankin), 이듬해, 바비 젠트리(Bobbie Gentry), 1969년 조지 페임(Georgie Fame), 프렌즈 오브 디스팅크션(The Friends Of Distinction) 등이 발표했다.

 

싱어 송 라이터이고 재즈 뮤지션인 케니가 만들고 톰 캐탤라노(Tom Catalano)가 프로듀서를 맡았다.

 

화자는 가사에서 힘들었던 지난날을 뒤로 하고 자연과 잘 어우러진 곳에서 자신을 괴롭히던 사람들과 떨어져 있으니 아주 평화롭다고 말하고 있다. 아이에게서 힘도 얻고.
