Get Him Back! - Olivia Rodrigo / 2023

 

Get Him Back!은 US 뮤지션 올리비아 로드리고(Olivia Rodrigo)가 2023년 발표한 두 번째 스튜디오 앨범 <Guts>에 수록한 곡으로  아일랜드 5위, UK 7위, 캐나다와 US 각각 11위를 기록했다. 피치포크 2023년 최고의 노래 5위, 롤링스톤 같은 부문 7위, 빌보드 같은 부문 9위 등에 올랐다. 

 

올리비아와 댄 니그로(Dan Nigro)가 만들고 댄과 알렉산더 23(Alexander 23), 이안 커크패트릭(Ian Kirkpatrick) 등이 프로듀서를 맡았다. 뮤직비디오는 잭 베거트(Jack Begert)가 감독을 맡았고 LA 스튜디오에서 아이폰15프로 맥스로 촬영했다. 

 

가사는 나쁜남자의 매력에 푹 빠져 지내다가 헤어지고 나니 화가 나 복수하고 싶으면서도 한편으로는 보고 싶고 그가 다시 돌아와 지나날처럼 재밌게 지냈으면 하는 바람을 담고 있다. 올리비아는 애플뮤직과의 인터뷰에서 "저에 대한 기대와 그런 압박감들이 제가 만나선 안 되는 사람을 사귀게 한 것 같아요. 헤어지고 나서 뉴욕에서 곡 작업을 하루종일 했지만 정말 하나도 좋지 않았어요. 그래서 난 너무 재능이 없다고 생각했죠. 완전 다운 되어 있었어요. 그런 후에 며칠 쉰 후에 이 곡을 만들었어요. 여러분들도 포기하지 마세요"라고 말했다. 팬들은 여름에서 봄까지 사귄 가사의 상대가 영화 제작자 애덤 페이즈(Adam Faze)와 들어맞는 것으로 추측하고 있다. 애덤은 175cm인 것으로 알려져 있다. "I am my father's daughter, so maybe I could fix him" 부분은 올리비아의 아버지가 가족 심리치료사라서 "fix" 부분을 강조하기 위해 넣은 것 같다.
