He Says The Same Things To Me는 스키터 데이비스(Skeeter Davis, 19311230 ~ 20040919)가 1964년 발표한 5번째 스튜디오 앨범 <Let Me Get Close To You>에 수록한 곡으로 US 47위, 컨트리 17위, AC 15위 등을 기록했다.

 

게리 겔드(Gary Geld)와 피터 우델(Peter Udell)이 만들었고 쳇 엣킨스(Chet Atkins)가 프로듀서를 맡았다. 산이슬이 사랑의 오솔길이란 제목으로 번안해 불렀다. 

 

자신의 연적에게 자신의 애인이 연적에게 거짓말하는 거라고 밝히는 내용이다. 물론 화자가 거짓말 할 수도 있지만 일단은 “너를 사랑하는 게 아니라 나를 사랑하는 거야”라는 식으로 싸우는 게 아니라서 둘 다 (합심해서) 이 상황을 헤쳐 나가보자는 쪽으로 보이기도 한다. 한 쪽이 포기한고 다른 쪽이 그 남자를 차지할 수 있게 된다면 계속 버텨야 할까. 포기해야 할까. 이렇게 사실을 말해주고 충고를 해줘도 상대방이 그것과 상관없이 더욱 열렬히 사랑을 느낀다면?
