Stuck With U - Ariana Grande & Justin Bieber / 2020

Stuck With U는 아리아나 그란데(Ariana Grande)와 저스틴 비버(Justin Bieber)가 2020년 발표한 싱글로 US 1위, 캐나다 1위, 아일랜드 2위, UK 4위 등을 기록했다. US 래퍼 식스나인(6ix9ine)은 이 곡에 대한 사재기를 주장했다. 이에 대해 빌보드는 증거불충분으로 식스나인의 고발을 부인했다.

 

아리아나, 저스틴, 스쿠터 브라운(Scooter Braun), 프레디 웩슬러(Freddy Wexler), 지안 스톤(Gian Stone) 등이 만들고 아리아나와 지안이 프로듀서를 맡았다. 프레디가 스쿠터에게 데모를 보냈고 스쿠터가 아리아나에게 전했다. 원래 솔로곡이었으나 아리아나의 제안으로 저스틴과의 듀엣곡이 되었다. 이 둘은 이전에 저스틴의 What Do You Mean 리믹스 버전에서 함께 한 적이 있다. 자선음반의 의도를 담고 있어서 코로나-19로 인해 어려움을 겪고 있는 노동자 계층의 아이들을 돕기 위해 FRCF 재단에 수익금을 기부한다. 유튜브 뮤직비디오에서도 기부금을 모으고 있다.

 

뮤직비디오는 아리아나, 저스틴, 스쿠터, 로리 크레이머(Rory Kramer), 알프레도 플로레스(Alfredo Flores) 등이 감독을 맡았고 코로나로 인해 집에서 촬영하는 콘셉트로 방향을 잡았다. 많은 유명 인사들이 참여했고 후반부에 아리아나가 껴안는 상대는 부동산 중개업자 달튼 고메즈(Dalton Gomez)로 알려졌다.

 

가사는 코로나로 인해 집에만 있어야 하는 경우가 많은 사람들을 위해 굳이 밖에 나가지 않아도 천국을 만들 수 있다는 의미를 주는 것 같다. 저스틴은 “파티에 갈 수 없는 사람들을 위한 노래예요”라고 말했다.
