If You Think You Know How To Love Me는 UK 록밴드 스모키(Smokie)가 1975년 발표한 두 번째 스튜디오 앨범 <Changing All The Time>에 수록한 곡으로 아일랜드 2위, UK 3위, 연말결산 44위, US 96위 등을 기록했다. 팻 베네타(Pat Benatar)가 커버했다. 

 

니키 친(NIcky Chinn)과 마이크 채프먼(Mike Chapman)이 만들고 프로듀서도 맡았다. 보컬의 크리스 노먼(Chris Norman)은 다수의 인터뷰에서 이 곡이 자신에게 아주 큰 의미가 있다고 말했다. "어느 화창한 날 라디오에서 나오는 걸 처음으로 들었던 그 순간은 절대 잊지 못할 것입니다. 우리의 첫 히트곡이고 이 곡 덕분에 삶이 완전히 바뀌었고요. 꿈꾸던 풍요로운 삶이 시작되었습니다. 저에겐 너무나도 큰 의미가 있는 곡이죠."

 

가사는 화자의 입장에서 상대가 살아가는 평범하지 않은 삶을 살아가는 걸 택하기 위해선 상대가 화자를 잘 설득하고 알려주고 이끌어 줘야 한다고 말하는 내용인 것 같다.
