Moments To Remember - The Four Lads / 1955

Moments To Remember는 캐나다 4인조 합창단 포 래즈(The Four Lads)가 1955년 발표한 곡으로 US 2위, 연말결산 17위, 캐나다 3위 등을 기록했다. 팀 멤버인 버니 투리쉬(John Bernard "Bernie" Toorish)가 클리블랜드의 라디오 DJ 빌 랜들(Bill Randle)을 설득해 자주 틀도록 해서 곡이 히트하게 된 큰 요인이 되었다.

 

로버트 알렌(Robert Allen)과 알 스틸맨(Al Stillman)이 만들었고 레이 엘리스(Ray Ellis) 악단이 연주했다. 원래는 페리 코모(Perry Como)에게 갔으나 페리의 매니저가 거절했다. "January ~ moments to remember" 부분은 레이 찰스(Ray Charles)의 백업보컬로 있던 로이 윈터스(Lois Winters)가 “A drive-in movie ~ never watched the show" 부분은 스티브 알렌(Steve Allen)의 쇼에서 노래를 부르던 팻 커비(Pat Kirby)가 참여했다.

 

친구들과의 추억이 영원할 거라는 내용이다. 졸업식이나 송별회 같은 데서 친구 몇 명이 함께 부르면 어울릴 노래인 것 같다.
