Ain't No Love In The Heart Of The City는 US 블루스 뮤지션 바비 블랜드(Bobby "Blue" Bland, Robert Calvin Brooks; 19300127 – 20130623)가 1974년 발표한 9번째 스튜디오 앨범 <Dreamer>에 수록한 곡으로 US 91위, R&B 9위 등을 기록했다.

 

하드록밴드 화이트 스네이크(White Snake) 등을 비롯해 아주 많은 가수들이 커버했고 제이-지(Jay-Z)가 Heart Of The City (Ain’t No Love)에서 샘플링 하는 등, 오랜 세월을 통해 마니아층이 깊은 것으로 평가받고 있다. 모완일 감독의 2024년 넷플릭스 시리즈 <아무도 없는 숲속에서>에 사용되었다. 

 

마이클 프라이스(Michael Price)와 댄 월시(Dan Walsh)가 만들고 스티브 바리(Steve Barri)가 프로듀서를 맡았다.

 

가사는 도시의 냉정함이나 비정함을 말하는 것이 아니라 장소와 상관없이 연인이 떠나고 없는 삶이 주는 쓸쓸함에 대해 말하고 있는 듯하다.
